Who knew that marrying your husband and suddenly finding yourself in a state of boredom after years of working in the field of Culinary and Hospitality, Retail and Mass Media can lead to cake artistry?

A few years after earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication, I pushed myself further to study International Culinary Arts and Professional Kitchen Management. It was then, where my journey in the Culinary world has started.

Of course, baking was never my passion as I enjoyed cooking savory dishes more than the exact/precise practice in the field of baking. After years of working in the kitchen of big hotel chains around the globe, I transferred to the front of the house operations and ended up finding myself in mall management back in the Philippines and China. From the grueling hours of work in the field of operations, I decided to move to the United States and be with my husband.

My boredom caused by moving to one place to another and finding myself jobless, made me decide to put up Sachi’s.

Sachi means  
happiness 

in Japanese, which is also the name of my daughter, Sachi Allegra who is my life’s happiness, together with our little Angel up in heaven.

With my love for the arts, from painting to sketching, costume and craft making, I decided to try my hand in the world of cake artistry.

It was love at first sight when I stumbled upon the works of world-renowned Cake Artist and Author, Maggie Austin. I started attending her classes and even traveled to different parts of the globe to study different techniques from different cake artists in the world (which I continually pursue, besides, traveling is one of my life’s greatest moments).

With the help of social media, friends and family, I have been fortunate enough to continuously grow my specialty cake business. From a small home based cake business operating under the Texas Cottage food law, my sleepless nights, hard work and perseverance led to putting up a storefront in 2020. Considered as 1 of the toughest years in our generation due to the world pandemic, who would’ve thought that I will be able to open the very first Sachi’s Cakes and Desserts Lab in Beaumont, TX.

We do not have a fixed menu! I will continuously offer different kinds of desserts that will surely open your tastebuds and experience the goodness of sugar, flavor and art.
